Mount Vernon Fire Department Scholarship Award

The department has created the award to encourage Mt. Vernon students to continue their education beyond high school. Some sort of further education, not necessarily college, is a requirement. The Maranacook High School Scholarship Committee selects the student or students to receive the award(s) at graduation each year. The Scholarship Award fund is administrated by the Fire Department as a community service, and is self supported by gifts and memorial donations. The public may participate in the award's funding by donating to the Scholarship Fund or the Scholarship Memorial Fund.

The Scholarship Memorial Fund is a method to honor one's deceased friends or relatives. The "In Memory of" names of these deceased friends or relatives will be listed on this web site.
