The Mt. Vernon Fire Department is starting a new Community Service Project, and with your help, it can be a success.The project is a secure file that would contain floor plans of homes in the Town of Mt. Vernon. Each plan would be used only by the Fire Department in case of an emergency at that location. By having a floor plan, it gives Firefighters a chance to review the layout of your home before they enter. This will help them in trying to maneuver in your home when unable to see due to poor conditions. We feel that this program will help in saving lives and property. We also will take the necessary steps to keep this file secure and be used only in case of an emergency.
